Tips: Question order
When ordering the questions in a customer survey, avoid placing several questions of the same type one after another. Different question types add variety to the questionnaire and help respondents stay focused. As a general rule, the more varied the questionnaire, the more engaged the survey participant will be.
When deciding on the sequence of topics, move gradually from general questions towards more specific questions, rather than the other way round.
Example: Ask “How satisfied are you with our customer support?” first, followed by “How satisfied are you with our email support?”
Tip: The order must also be logical and meaningful. Do not ask about product satisfaction before asking whether the respondent knows or uses the product.
