Using and adapting the template
The template can be copied into a LamaPoll account and adapted to the specific career guidance test. Before distribution, review the test name, introduction, result formats, response scales, school years, demographic questions and prize draw. The form of address should also be made consistent, as the German version currently alternates between “du” and “Du”.
Some wording is outdated or incorrect. The German spelling “Graphiken” should be replaced with “Grafiken”, and the typo “Endeite” should be corrected. The two oppositely worded statements about whether response options are missing, as well as the scale ranging from “appealing” to “outrageous”, should be checked for clarity and suitability for the particular test. The template measures participants’ subjective perceptions; it does not demonstrate the professional or diagnostic quality of the career guidance test.
Privacy, anonymity and the prize draw
The introduction describes the survey as anonymous, while demographic details are collected and an email address is requested at the end for a prize draw. If the feedback is intended to remain anonymous, prize draw entries should be collected separately from the survey responses, both technically and organisationally. In small groups, combinations of age, gender and school year may also allow individuals to be identified indirectly.
The template’s privacy notice and legal notice must be replaced with the details of the organisation responsible for the actual survey. The selected settings, the purpose of the survey and the handling of the information should be explained clearly to participants. An unqualified promise of anonymity should only be used when the survey setup genuinely supports it.
Template note: Before use, the introduction, privacy notice and legal notice must be adapted to the organisation responsible for the survey and the specific test. The statement that the survey is “anonymous and secure” should only be used when the selected settings and survey process genuinely support it. For anonymous feedback, prize draw email addresses should be collected separately from the responses. Also review the demographic questions, the binary-only gender options, outdated wording and the rating scales used.
