Who is the student plan for?
For all pupils and students who want to run a survey as part of their education or a thesis – at a university, university of applied sciences, school or academy. LamaPoll wants to contribute to education and therefore provides almost its full range of features free of charge.
What is the student plan suited for?
The student plan is tailored to academic, non-commercial surveys carried out as part of your education:
- Theses – bachelor's, master's and doctoral theses
- Academic research and studies as part of your degree
- Seminar papers and assignments with your own data collection
- Course and seminar evaluations
- Project and group work at school, university or academy
Security & data protection
Your data and that of your participants are well protected at LamaPoll – verifiably and independently audited:
- Hosting in Germany in TÜV-certified data centres (DIN ISO 27001)
- ISO 27001, 27017 & 27018 certified company
- SSL encryption of all data, plus encrypted databases and backups
- Daily, encrypted backups and redundant storage (RAID-1)
- Two-factor authentication for secure accounts
- GDPR-compliant – including a data processing agreement (DPA) and, on request, fully anonymous surveys

Term & what happens next
The student plan is activated immediately after booking and runs for 3 months – completely free. Afterwards your account is automatically switched to the free Free plan. Your surveys and data are retained.
No cancellation, no automatic renewal, no hidden costs. The student plan cannot be extended free of charge – but you can upgrade afterwards at a reduced rate.
Requirements for the free student plan
- Requirements for the person: Any pupil or student can create a non-commercial online survey with LamaPoll – whether at a university, university of applied sciences, school or academy. Only one account may be created per person. If you need additional surveys or features, contact us – we're happy to help!
- Requirements for the survey: The survey should be part of your own academic education and must not have a commercial background.
- If these requirements are not met, we reserve the right to block the results or, where applicable, the account.
